Wesley opened his eyes slowly and yawned. He looked down at Spike. He had a peaceful look on his face that somehow seemed to make him look like a little boy. He smiled, then glanced at the clock.

"Oh bloody hell!"

Wesley leaped out of bed as Spike woke up. He grumbled and rubbed his eyes with his fists, making Wesley laugh as he tried to get ready for work.

"Wha' was that for?" Spike murmured sleepily.

"I'm an hour late for work."

Spike rubbed his eyes again and looked at the clock. "Well, if you're already an hour late..."

"No, Spike."

Spike gave Wesley puppy dog eyes. This little trick had never failed him when it came to Angelus, but apparently Wesley could block it out.

"I said no."

Spike pouted. Wesley came over to him and sat next to him.

"I have to work, okay? I'll snuggle with you later."

Spike sighed. "Alright, alright, but I'm coming with you."

They finally made it to work. Angel was hanging around the entrance.

"What took you so long!" He yelled as they walked in.

Wesley cringed as though he'd been hit. "I'm sorry, I over slept."

"Oh back off you great poof," Spike glared at his Sire. "How many times has he been late?"

Angel thought for a second. "This is the first time."

"Then cut him some slack!" Spike grabbed Wesley's arm and dragged him into his office.

"Why do you do that?" Spike asked.

"Do what?" Wesley asked, sitting down behind his desk.

"Let people push you around like that?"

Wesley sighed. "You would to if you had my past. I shouldn't, I suppose, but I can't really help it."

Spike opened his mouth to say something else, turned green and shot for the bathroom. Wesley waited for him to come back.

"This can't get any worse," Spike groaned as he came out a minute later.

Wesley smiled. "Um, Spike? It can."

Spike gave him a disbelieving look. "How?"

The look on Wesley's face told Spike it really could get worse. "Well, Spike, you're...going to be fat."

Silence.

"WHAT!!!!!???" Spike practically screamed.

"Fat," Wesley repeated. "Only until the baby is born, then it'll go away, but for a short while..."

Spike sank donw into a nearby chair and burried his face in his hands. "Fat? I've NEVER been fat!"

"Yes, but it's only for a few months..."

"A FEW MONTHS!" Spike lifted his face again to stare at Wesley. "A FEW MONTHS!"

Wesley tried hard not to laugh at the look of horror on Spike's face. "Spike, you'll be perfectly slim again afterwards. And I would assume that as you are a Vampire you'll loose it much more quickly then a human would."

Spike burried his face in his hands again and burst into tears.

Wesley quickly got up from his chair and knelt next to Spike's chair. HE knew this was one of the mood swings, but he also knew Spike would be extremely pissed off at himself for this. He rubbed Spike's back until he quit.

"Oh god I'm such a nancy," Spike grumbled.

Wsley gave him a hug and stood back up. "Only right now."

Spike glared at him. "Hey! That's not how it works, you're supposed to tell me I'm not!"

Wesley chuckled. "So sorry. You're not a nancy."

Spike just crossed his arms and looked insulted. Wesley shook his head in amusement and sat back down, wondering absently how Spike would react when he actually started to show.

Throughout the day Spike ran back and forth between Wesley's desk and the bathroom. The only problem was whenever he came out he expected at least a hug from Wesley, which meant he didn't really get much work done that day.

By the end of the day Wesley only had half of the papers Angel wanted done. He took these to Angel.

"Where are the rest?" Angel asked curiously. It wasn't like Wesley not to get something done.

Wesley sighed. "You wouldn't get anything done either if Spike expected at least a hug every time he came out of the bathroom."

Angel chuckled. "Ah. That's Spike for you. Actually, if you tell him firmly to knock it off he will, he just knows he can get away with it right now."

Wesley smiled. "I don't really mind doing it, I just can't get anything done."

Angel leaned back in his chair. "So how are you two doing?"

Wesley shrugged. "Fine."

"Spike hasn't come to me yet, so I guess you're not completely there yet."

Wesley frowned. "Why would Spike come to you?"

"Oh, I thought he told you. I have to give Spike to you. Right now he still belongs to me."

"Oh," Wesley nodded. "Is that a Vampire thing?"

"Yeah."

"How exactly do you give him to me?"

Angel leaned forward again and folded his hands on the desk. "Well, I'd bite him, then I'd give up the Sire/Childe bond. Then you'd have to bite in the same place I did, and except the responsibility of basically becoming his Sire."

"You mean, we'd have the same bond?"

Angel nodded. "It's not something Vampires usually do with humans, but it's been done a couple times, so I know it works. And I know Spike would like to be given. I could just give you to him, but he's not exactly the owning type."

Wesley nodded. "I see. But Spike hasn't come here yet?"

Angel shook his head. "No. And it's been a couple weeks now."

Wesley smiled. "Perhaps he hasn't quite found what he's looking for."

Angel smiled back. "Have you?"

Wesley sighed. He hadn't been prepared to tell anyone, but he might as well. "I've fallen in love with Spike, I'll admit. But I don't know if he feels that way."

"Tell him. Otherwise you'll never know, and you'll never get him."

Wesley frowned. 'Wouldn't he like to figure this out for himself?"

Angel shook his head. "Spike's had to do too much of that in his life. He needs somebody to just come out and say it for him. He won't do it just yet unless he's forced."

"Well, I most certainly don't want to force him," Wesley sighed. "alright, I'll tell him later."

WEsley left the office and walked slowly back to his.

Spike looked up as he walked in. "Hey."

Wesley smiled vaguely at him. He looked at the clock. "Time to go home."

Spike nodded. "Just ran for the bathroom, so I think I can make it. 'Sides, it stopped around this time last time."

Wesley nodded.

Neither spoke the whole way home. Spike began to get a little worried.

"Are you alright?"

"Hmm? Oh, yes, just thinking," Weley smiled reassuringly at him. "I talked to Angel, and he told me about how he has to give you to me."

"Oh," Spike nodded. "And you don't have any objections, right?"

"No, not at all," Wesley smiled. "I think I'd like to own you." His smile turned slightly evil.

Spike grinned back.

An hour later they were curled up in bed again. Wesley was stroking Spike's hair. Spike was purring. He was almost asleep. Wesley gathered the courage, then looked down at Spike.

"I love you."

The purring was cut off. Spike lifted his head with a look of shock on his face.

"What?" He almost whispered.

"I love you," Wesley repeated.

Spike stared at him, then he leaned forward and kissed Wesley. "Really?"

"Yes."

"Good. 'Cause I love you too."

Wesley sighed with relief. "Well...good."

Spike laughed. "Okay, sleep now, worry about Sire dearest and all that tomorrow."

"Alright."

It had been three months since Spike had found out he was pregnant. And for one month now he'd been running a nervous hand over his stomach, wondering when it was going to start to stretch out. Wesley had to stop himself from lauhghing every time Spike did it. He kenw he'd be just as nervous if he were in Spike's position.

Then one day Wesley was getting ready for work. Spike hadn't gotten up yet. Wesley finished shaving and peered around the corner.

"Spike? Are you going to get up?"

"No!" Spike yelled from under the blankets. He had them yanked up over his head. "Leave me alone!"

Wesley sighed. "Spike, it's okay, you can come out."

"Leave me alone," Spike said again, only it was more subdued this time.

Wesley went over and sat down. He tugged on the blankets. "Come on, Spike, don't you want to come to work with me?"

Spike's head appeared from under the blanket. Wesley smiled. "There you are."

The corners of Spike's lips twitched, but he still looked destressed. "I'm not going."

Wesley sighed. "Why not?"

Spike blushed and ducked back under the blanket. Wesley tugged on it again.

"Go 'way."

Wesley yanked hard this time, catching Spike off gaurd. The blanket was torn free, and Wesley saw why Spike wasn't going. He tried to smile reassuringly at Spike and at the same time had to keep himself from laughing.

"It's only a little. No one will notice."

"Only a little!" Spike looked down at his stomach, which had started to sweel out. "I wear tight shirts, Wesley! Every bloody person in there'll notice!"

"Why don't you wear a loose one, then?" Wesley said as he got back up and searched for his shirt. He slipped it on.

"I look stupid in loose things," Spike mumbled.

Wesley smiled. "Spike, nobody's going to care how you look."

"I care!" Spike yelled. He turned on his side, facing away from Wesley. Wesley sighed.

"Fine, stay there and pout," Wesley said, slightly annoyed now. "I have to go to work. See you later."

Wesley started to walk out the door and was suddenly blocked by a very sorry Spike. "Wait, wait, don't go yet, I didn't mean to make you mad."

"I'm not mad," Wesley said, wondering why Spike thought that. "Just a little annoyed."

Spike looked relieved. "Oh, good. You looked mad."

"Well, even if I was, I'd still come back tonight."

"Oh," Spike ducked his head. "Right, yeah. Sorry."

He turned and went back to the bed. Wesley frowned.

"Did you think I wouldn't?" Wesley asked.

Spike turned his head away. "Yes."

"Why?"

Spike shrugged. "Dunno. Angelus wouldn't come back for days if I made him mad."

"Am I Angelus?"

Spike shook his head. "Sorry."

Wesley came back over and sat down next to Spike. "If I get mad at you ever, I'll just go to work or go in another room for a while, then I'll come back. I certainly won't leave you for days, though, especially not right now."

Spike smiled. "Okay."

"Now, I want you to do something for me. Get dressed and come to work. Try to foget what's happening for a little while."

Spike sighed. "Do I have to?" He said in a whiny voice, though Wesley could tell he was trying to keep from grinning.

"Yes, you have to," Wesley answered, playing along and sounding like a stern parent.

Spike sighed again, heavily this time. "Oh alright."

Spike quickly got dressed, wearing a slightly looser shirt then usual, and followed Wesley out the door.

They made it there early. Wesley went to his desk and immediately started to finish yet more papers he hadn't gotten done yesterday. Spike sat down. Within minutes he was leaping up and running for the bathroom. Wesley waited until he heard the door open, then he put down his papers and waited. Sure enough, Spike came over. Wesley gave him a quick hug and pointed to the chair. Spike laughed, then winced and sat down.

"Getting worse?" Wesley asked sympathetically.

"Not much," Spike said, rubbing his head. "Just can't laugh."

Wesley nodded. He finished off the papers and ran down to Angel's office to give them to him.

Angel looked up as he walked in. "How are you and Spike?" He asked. He asked this almost every day that Wesley was there now.

"Fine," He answered as usual.

Angel nodded. "Wesley, I know you're probably going to object to this, but take the day off."

Wesley looked up, startled. "Why? It's satuday tomorrow."

"I know, but...take Spike somewhere. Or do something with him."

"Why?"

Angel sighed. "He was in here the other day. He kept talking about you, but he also talked about how you're always busy and you refuse to take any day off unless it's the weekend."

"And where am I supposed to take him in the daylight?"

Angel smiled again. "I had Wolfram and Hart do a little something for me. You know about the Gem of Amara, don't you?"

"Of course."

"Well, I had them make another one."

Wesley's eyes widened. "They can do that?"

"Yeah. It's not the same as the first one, but it'll enable him to walk in the sunlight. That way it'll be easier for him to come to work with you and if he wants he can go places during the day."

"Did you get one for yourself?"

"Not yet," Angel shook his head. He reached into a drawer and pulled out a ring. "Here. Give this to Spike, and take the day off."

WEsley frowned, then took the ring. "Alright."

Wesley left Angel's office and went back to his. Spike looked up as he walked in.

"Took you long enough," Spike mumbled.

Wesley smiled, then handed Spike the ring. "Angel made this for you. He says it's like the Gem Of Amara, it'll let you walk in the sunlight."

Spike stared at the ring in his hand. He looked at Wesley, then slipped it on and ran out the door. He came back a minute later with a huge grin on his face.

"It works!" He yelled, throwing himself at Wesley. Wesley laughed and kissed Spike.

"This is neat! Why'd the poof do it, though?" Spike asked, looking puzzled now.

"He wanted me to take you somewhere, he gave me the day off."

Spike grinned. "Alright! Where are we going?"

"I don't know. Where do you want to go?"

Aparently everywhere. Wesley followed Spike around as he ran this way and that, trying to see everything there was to see in the daylight. He didn't seem to want to go inside anything, though, he just wanted to stay out in the sun.

"Are we going to do anything particular or are you just going to run around?" Wesley asked.

"Just run around," Spike answered. He looked up at the sun for the hundreth time and grinned again. "This is just like I remember it."

Wesley smiled. "Is it?"

Spike nodded. "Only better, 'cause I've got you this time," He grinned at Wesley. Wesley grinned back.

They finally made it back home. Spike fell onto the bed, not bothering to take off his clothes. Wesley climbed up and tugged at the duster.

"Clothes off."

Spike chuckled and sat up, shedding all of his clothing before climbing under the covers. Wesley shedded his own clothing before climbing under with him. He spooned up against Spike.

"Going to do anything while you're back there?"

Wesley smiled. "Not tonight. I'm tired."

Spike smiled back. "Me too." He paused, then said softly. "I love you."

Wesley smiled. "I love you to."

Spike walked slowly into Angel's office. "Sire?"

Angel looked up from his desk. "Yes?"

"Um..." Spike kicked the ground with the toe of his boot. "I think...Wesley and I talked and...I think we can..."

Damn it, why was he having such a hard time asking?

Angel smiled. "Bring him down here."

Spike nodded, relieved that Angel realized what he was saying. He ran back to Wesley's office.

Earlier that day, Spike had talked to Wesley about the giving. Wesley had agreed to it, after a little bit of thought.

Spike burst in. "We have to go down to his office."

Wesley nodded. He got up and followed Spike back to the office.

"Lock the door, Spike," Angel told him as they came in.

Spike turned and locked the door. He turned to face his Sire again.

Angel walked up to Wesley. "Okay, I never told Spike this, so he doesn't know, but when I make you Spike's Sire, two things are going to happen to you."

Wesley frowned. "What?"

Angel looked a little nervous. "Well, you're going to gain the abitlty to growl, for one thing..."

Wesley snorted, then choked on it. "Sorry. That's actually a bit funny."

Angel smiled. "Yeah. And secondly, um, you're going to have...fangs. Just the fangs, and they'll only be there when you want them to be, but..."

Spike stared at Angel. Wesley did too, then he laughed. "Well, I actually don't mind that."

Spike kept staring at Angel. "You mean he can bite me?"

Angel nodded. Spike shivered in excitement at the thought of Wesley biting him. He glanced at Wesley and saw surprised to see that Wesley actually didn't mind what was going to happen to him. He looked at Angel again.

"Come here."

Spike walked towards his Sire. Angel reached up and took hold of Spike's shoulders before vamping out. Spike tilted hsi head to one side and shivered when he felt Angel's fangs slide into his neck.

Wesley clamped down on the possesiveness that was roaring inside him. He saw Spike's eyes close in pleasureand a little surge of jealousy ran through im.

Then Angel pulled away and nodded to Wesley. Spike had explained to Wesley earlier that all he had to do was bite hard enough to break the skin in the same place Angel had. Wesley didn't like the thought of hurting Spike, but Spike had assured him it was a good sort of pain. Wesley took a deep breath, then walked over. He put one arm around Spike's shoulders as the other one slipped up under Spike's shirt to rest on his swelling stomach, which had gotten bigger rapidly after it had first started a month ago. Spike shivered, then tilted his head again. Wesley took another deep breath, then bit down hard on the bite mark.

Spike sucked in a hissing breath and reached up to hold Wesley's shoulders. On impulse Wesley licked at the blood welling up on Spikes neck. It sent a strange feeling all throug him.

After a moment he pulled away. He felt Angel walked up beside them and looked over. He started to say something but Angel shook his head.

Wesley watched as Angel put a hand on Spikes shoulder, then looked at Wesley and said softly. "Do you except the responsibility of becoming my Childe's Sire?"

Wesley looked at Spike. Spike had a funny look in his eyes, almost as though he expected Wesley to back out at the last second. Wesley looked up and looked Angel in the eye.

"I do."

Angel nodded, then looked down at Spike. "Do you except Wesley as your new Sire?"

"I do," Spike said softly.

The instant the words were out of Spike's mouth, Weslye felt something begin to happen to him. The first thing was almost all his control on his possesiveness seemed to melt away. Something happened in his mouth as well as he grabbed Spike's shoulders and yanked him away from Angel. Spike grinned at him, and Wesley couldn't help but grin back. He saw a startled look come into Spike's eyes.

"Whoa," Spike said.

"What?" Wesley realized Spike was staring at his mouth and reached up. He could feel fangs there. He laughed. "Alright, how do they go away?"

Angel smiled. "You'll figure that out."

Wesley concentrated for a moment, then felt them slide away. Then he looked down at Spike again. Spike was looking up at him with so much love in his eyes Wesley thought he might drown in it if he looked too long. He leaned down and kissed Spike softly before he looked at Angel.

"Thank you."

Angel smiled again. "You're welcome."

Spike grinned suddenly. "Angel, Wesley's taking the rest of the day off."

Angel frowned. "What...? Oh. Jeez, Spike, can't you wait three hours?"

"Nope," Spike grinned at Angel before dragging his new Sire out the door.

"Where are we going?" Wesley asked, laughing.

"Home. Bedroom," Spike said shortly.

In no time Spike had pulled Wesley home and into their room. Wesley watched as Spike took off his shirt and pulled off the sweats he wore now and then walked over to Wesley.

"Why are your clothes still on?" Spike said with a mock glare.

Wesley just smiled. "I don't know, maybe you should get them off for me?"

Spike grinned and started to attack them. Once he had Wesley completely naked he pulled him down on the bed with him. He layed down on his side.

"You're going to have to do me this way," Spike told him. He glared down at his stomach. "That's getting too big."

Wesley laughed and ran a hand over Spike's stomach. "I think it's kind of cute."

Spike glared at Wesley. "S'not!"

Wesley smiled and kissed Spike. He felt his new fangs come out again and pulled away.

Spike grinned. "That means you're getting possesive again."

Wesley chuckled. Then he leaned down and slide the fangs into Spike's neck. Spike made a pleased noise in his throat. Wesley reached behind him and felt around until he found the lube.

Two hours later they both fell asleep from exaustion.

*

"Ow."

Wesley looked up. He'd requested that Angel give him the remaining months of Spike's pregnancy time off so he could stay home with Spike, who now refused to come into work with him. It was month five, which meant he had four months with nothing to do but take care of Spike.

And he certainly wasn't going to complain about it, except int the times that Spike got pissy for no reason.

"What?" Wesley asked, looking over at Spike.

"It kicked me again," Spike said, rubbing his stomach. "You know, we should come up with a name."

Wesley nodded. "You're right. But we don't know if it's a boy or a girl."

"We'll pick two names then."

They fell silent, thinking about it."

"Will?" Wesley suggested.

Spike glanced at him. "That's my name."

"Exactly."

Spike smiled. "Okay. How about Kara if it's a girl?"

"Kara?" Wesley nodded. "Alright. That's a nice name."

Spike nodded. "Okay, that's figured..."

Spike launched offthe couch and ran for the bathroom. Wesley chuckled and waited for him to come back out.

Spike walked back out and flopped back on the couch, curling against Wesley's side. "Bugger. Can't wait for he or she to get out here in the real world."

Wesley laughed. "And not just because you want your abbs back, right?"

Spike smiled. "Are you kidding? I'll probably go absolutely nuts for a while when I actually see it."

Spike ran a hand over his stomach again, then groaned. "Ow."

Wesley put a hand over Spike's stomach as well. "You must have done something to annoy it," He teased.

Spike glared at him, then sighed. "I'm gonna go to sleep now," He murmured suddenly.

Wesley watched as Spike fell asleep almost instantly. He smiled, then reached around and put his other hand on Spike's stomach before leaning his cheek on Spike's head.

Month seven. Wesley sat on the couch and watched his Spike sleep. A thought had just come into his mind. What would happen when he died? What would Spike do?

Wesley sighed. He got up and went into the kitchen to make himself some tea. He felt a bit restless. More energetic then he'd ever felt. He grabbed a cup, but as his hand curled around it it shattered. Wesley dropped the shards left in surprise.

"Wes?" He heard from the living room. "Wha' happened?"

Wesley looked up. "I broke a cup, that's all."

Spike walked...well, more like shuffled into the kitchen. He looked at the cup on the floor. "How'd you manage that?" He teased.

Wesley frowned. "I didn't drop it, I just..." reached out and grabbed another one. It, too, shattered as he wrapped his hand around it.

Spike's eyes grew huge.

Wesley watched as Spike walked as fast as possible back to the living room. He heard him call someone before he started cleaning up.

"Angel?" Spike asked into the phone.

"Spike? What's going on?" Angel asked.

"Did Wesley get stronger when he became my sire?"

Angel paused. "Oh, I thought I told you that?"

"Nope," Spike responded. "What else has happened to him?"

"Well, basically he's sort of like a...human vampire, I guess. He's got the same strength as vampires now, and he'll live forever..."

"Forever?" Spike said, not daring to believe it. Last night he'd realized that eventually he was going to loose Wesley, but now he wasn't? Ever? Spike grinned. "Really?"

"Yeah, really."

"Okay, thanks," Spike hung up, then let out a whoop and walked as fast as he could back to Wesley.

"Wes!" Spike yelled. "You're going to live forever!"

Wesley dropped the dust pan in his hands. "What?!"

Spike grinned. "I just talked to Angel, he forgot to tell us some things. You've got Vampire strength, that's why you're breaking things, and you're going to live forever!"

Wesley stared at him, then he grinned. "Well, to take a line from you, that's just...neat."

Spike laughed. "All you have to do to control the strength is just concentrate like you did with the fangs for a second. You can switch back an forth between human and vampire strength."

Wesley nodded and concentrated for a second. He grabbed another cup. "Ah, that's better."

Spike smiled. Wesley smiled back. He threw the broken cups away, then walked over and kissed Spike. He put a hand on Spike's stomach.

"Only two months now," He said, a goofy smile crossing his face. Spike laughed.

"You look cute when you grin like that."

Wesley laughed. "I can't help it! We're going to be parents!"

Spike grinned, then looked down. "Yeah." He suddenly got a worried look on his face. "Do you think he'll like me?"

Wesley chuckled. "Of course he'll like you, Spike!"

Spike smiled. "I know, I know, I'm just being paranoid," The worried look came back. "But what if he doesn't?"

Wesley sighed. "You're going to be like this all day, aren't you?"

Spike shrugged. "Maybe."

Wesley rolled his eyes. Spike laughed and went back to the couch.

*

Month Eight.

Spike lay on the couch, watching TV. He had a pillow tucked under his head and had one hand resting on his stomach. Wesley was sitting on a chair nearby, watching him. Spike looked down at his stomach.

"Is it really supposed to get that big for only one bloody kid?" Spike asked suddenly.

Wesley shrugged. "I suppose. It isn't like I've delt with pregnancies before."

Spike sighed. He winced as it kicked him yet again, then he switched the channels until he found Passions.

"You do love this show, don't you?" Wesley said in amusement.

Spike smiled. "Yeah. You'd have to watch it from the beginning to understand it, though."

Wesley nodded. Spike fell silent again and Wesley continued to watch him.

After a while Spike spoke up again. "Wes?"

"Hmm?"

"Could you get me some blood?" Spike looked a little sheepish at having to ask. Wesley smiled.

"Of course."

Wesley got up and walked over to give Spike a quick kiss before he heated up some blood for him. He helped Spike sit up (something which still embarrassed him) and gave him the blood.

"Thanks, luv," Spike smiled at Wesley. Wesley smiled back and gave him another kiss before he walked back to the chair.

The phone rang suddenly. Wesley got up and picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Wes, it's Angel."

Wesley mouthed 'Angel' at Spike, who was looking curiously at him. Spike nodded and looked back at the TV.

"Hi Angel," Wesley said.

"I just wanted to check on you guys. Still controlling your strength? Or are there more broken cups?" Angel teased.

Wesley laughed. "I broke one more cup and ripped off the shower curtain once, but other then that it's been okay."

Angel snorted. "The shower curtain?"

Wesley nodded. "Er, that may have had something to do with my eargerness to get IN the shower, however."

Wesley saw Spike grin evily at him.

"How's Spike doing?"

Wesley smiled. "He's turned into a couch potato. He won't get off of if unless we're going to bed." Wesley sighed. "And he's all worried that he or she won't like him."

Angel laughed. "That's Spike. Well, go to go now. I'm...er...meeting up with Fred..."

Wesley laughed. "Spit it out, Angel."

Wesley could almost see Angel blush. "Er, well, see, about a month after you left, I sort of, well, asked Fred out."

Wesley grinned. "And?"

"Well...We sort of...er..." He heard Angel make a choked noise. "After two dates..."

"Who kissed who?" Wesley asked. He saw Spike's head come up at the word.

Angel made that choked noise again. "Fred. Kissed me, I mean. And, er, since then..."

Wesley laughed. "I can't believe you're nervous."

Angel laughed. "Hey! You can't say anything, you should have seen yourself."

Wesley smiled. "Alright, alright. Good luck."

"Thanks. Gonna go now."

Wesley hung up the phone. "They finally hooked up."

"Who?"

"Fred and Angel."

Spike laughed. "About time!"

Wesley laughed and sat back down.

*

Wesley drove home from the store. He'd just gone and gotten the things they needed for the baby. Spike had wanted to go with him, but he'd decided to stay home, so Wesley had only gotten things they needed immediately so that they could go back.

Wesley was always jumpy now, because the baby could come any time. Spike was getting nervous also, and Wesley had a feeling his own nervousness wasn't helping Spike. But Wesley couldn't help it, he was too excited.

Wesley walked in and started putting things on the counter. He hauled in everything, then went to check on Spike.

He wasn't sitting on the couch or the chair. The TV was on, but the remote was lying on the floor half way to the bedroom. Wesley frowned. He picked up the remote to put it away.

And that's when he heard Spike cry out in pain from the bedroom.
