Wesley tore into the bedroom. Spike was lying under the covers, naked. He he had the sheet clutched in his hand. Wesley ran over to him."Wes!" Spike gasped. "It's..." Spike trailed off and a muffled cry escaped him again.
Wesley stood there stunned. He had no idea what to do. Spike glared up at him. "Call...Angel."
Wesley kept standing there. Spike groaned. "Call Angel!"
Wesley blinked, then snapped back to reality. "Right. Call Angel. Okay."
Wesley ran into the living room and dailed the familiar number.
"Hello?"
Wesley couldn't think of what to say.
"Wes?"
"Yes," Wesley managed to get out.
"I'll be right over."
Wesley hung up the phone and heard Spike cry out again. He went back in. Spike saw the dazed look on his face and realized he'd be absolutely NO help in this case.
Angel suddenly burst in the door. Spike managed to look at him. "Angel...Wes's...out of it."
Angel looked at Wesley, who was still staring with a stunned look at Spike. "That's okay, I talked to the guy, so I know what to do."
Spike clenched the sheet again. Angel sat beside him. "Look, there's pretty much nothing we can do for about four hours. Then it'll start to be born..."
"How...how does it...get out?" Spike asked through clenched teeth.
Angel gave him a funny look. Spike made a noise something like a sob. "Fucking...great..."
Angel looked over at Wesley, who was still staring at Spike. He tried to think of something for him to do.
"Wesley, why don't you hold Spike's hand for a bit?" Angel said.
Wesley sat down and Spike grabbed his hand in both of his. Angel tugged on the blankets. "Spike, these have got to go."
Spike nodded. Angel pulled them off.
Wesley was only vaguely aware of what was going on. He was aware that time was passing. He was aware that his hand was about to be crushed. He was aware that several hours later Spike's noises started to get more desparate and that Angel was doing something. And then he was aware of loud wailing.
Wesley suddenly snapped back to reality and saw the baby Angel was holding and wrapping up in a small blanket. Angel held it out to Wesley. Wesley took it, then he grinned.
"It's a boy," Angel told him.
Wesley just grinned. Angel laughed.
And then Spike cried out again. Angel looked startled. He turned back to Spike.
Wesley watched, amazed, as Angel brought out another baby. Spike, panting, stared at it.
"Twins," Spike breathed. "We have twins."
Wesley laughed delightedly as the other baby was handed to Spike. Angel gave Spike another blanket and Spike wrapped the baby up.
"This one's a girl," Spike said. He grinned happily at Wesley, then looked down at the baby girl. "Hello Kara."
Angel quietly left.
Wesley moved closer to Spike as Spike sat up. Spike looked over at the baby Wesley was holding. His grin turned goofy. "Hello Will."
Wesley grinned. Then a thought occured to him. "Spike? How will we feed them?"
Spike blushed. Wesley gave him a funny look.
"Er, I didn't show you, 'cause it was sort of embarrassing..." Spike took one of Wesley's hands and placed it on his chest. Wesley felt around Spikes nipples and realized that the places had swelled out a bit. Spike smiled slightly.
Wesley looked back down at Will, then he looked back up at Spike. "Well, as soon as you're okay enough to get up, we have shoping to do."
------------------------
Two months later.
Spike sat on the couch and tried to keep Will from falling off as Kara sat on his lap and fed. Will was starting to complain.
"Hold on, it'll be your turn in a minute," Spike told him.
Spike heard the front door open.
"Hi Wesley!" Spike called.
Wesley came in. "Hi Spike." He sat down and picked up Will before leaning over and kissing Spike. Then he looked down at Will. "Is Daddy not feeding you?"
Spike rolled his eyes. "Daddy'll feed him as soon as Kara finishes!"
As if on que Kara stopped and yawned. Spike handed her to Wesley and pulled Will over. Will immediately latched onto his chest. Spike sighed.
"This is still kinda weird."
Wesley chuckled. "I would assume so."
Wesley got up and put Kara in her crib, then came back. Will finished a little sooner then Kara did. Wesley put him in his crib.
Spike ran a hand over his stomach. It had started to flaten almost the minute the babies had been born, and now it was almost back to it's normal state. There was still just a small pooch left that Wesley thought was very cute, though he didn't tell Spike that.
Spike suddenly reached up and yanked Wesley down on the couch. Wesley laughed as the two of them fell to the floor, Wesley on top.
"Did you want something?" Wesley asked in a teasing voice.
"Mm-hmm. Want you," Spike smiled before kissing Wesley. Wesley kissed him back, then pulled away and peeled off both of their shirts.
"Hurry," Spike murmured as he undid Wesley's fly. "Babies'll wake up soon."
Wesley nodded and kicked off his jeans. Spike quickly got his own off. Wesley leaned down and kissed him again as he reached under the couch and found the lube there.
Fifteen minutes later they both lay panting. Wesley had his face tucked into Spike's neck, and was licking the bite mark he'd just made.
"Still weird that you can bite me," Spike murmured.
Wesley chuckled. "I know."
Kara started crying in her room. Spike groaned. Wesley got off of him and Spike went to get Kara. He came back holding her. Wesley laughed.
"What?" Spike asked.
"You didn't get dressed first."
Spike shrugged. "Didn't wanna." He grinned at Wesley. "I don't think you're complaining."
Wesley laughed again. He got up and sat down on the couch. Spike sat down next to him and snuggled against him. Kara made a happy noise and curled up on both of their laps.
--------------
Four months.
Spike sat in the yard in the sunlight and played with the twins. Will had discovered he liked eating grass, and Kara liked just rolling in it. Spike pulled another handful of grass out of Will's hand.
"You don't eat this," Spike said sternly. He put it back on the ground. "You leave it alone."
Will pouted. Spike sighed. He picked up Will's tiny rubber ball. "Here, play with this. See, it bounces," Spike dropped it on the ground and Will squealed in laughter as it bounced up above his head. Will went after it and Spike laughed. He looked up at the sky and thanked Angel silently yet again for giving him the ring.
"Kara! No! Don't eat that!" Spike knocked the spider out of her hands. Kara grabbed at it again and Spike picked it up and threw it to the other end of the yard.
"No. Spider's bad," Spike told her.
Kara started to cry. Spike picked her up and held her. "No, don't cry," He soothed. "You just can't eat the spider, okay?"
Kara calmed down, then went over to where Will was playing with the ball. Spike smiled as he watched. The only thing he wished now was that they would learn to talk and walk. Kara could a little, but she'd fall down. Will hadn't even tried.
Kara came back over. She held up her arms and Spike lifted her up.
Wesley's car drove in. Spike waved and Wesley got out of the car. He pulled a couple bags out as well. He stopped and smiled.
"Spike, do you have any idea how cute you look?"
Spike laughed. "Nope. Know how cute the kids look, though."
Wesley laughed. He came over and sat down near Spike. Spike saw the bags and grinned. "Whatcha got?"
Wesley laughed again. "You know, Spike, you're just like a kid when you see bags."
Spike grinned. "What is it?"
"Most of it's food, but there's a couple presents for you and the kids in there."
"Pressies! Gimme," Spike said playfully.
Wesley laughed. "Hold on, kids first."
Spike pouted, then grinned again.
Will crawled over and Wesley reached in and handed him another rubber ball. Will bounced it and ran after it.
"Kara," Wesley called.
Kara crawled over. Wesley held out a toy spider. Kara squealed and grabbed it.
Spike smiled. "How'd you know?"
Wesley laughed. "When you fell asleep on the couch the other night I took them outside. She kept chasing the spiders."
Spike laughed. Then he grinned. "Pressy?"
Wesley smiled. He pulled out two of Spike's favorite chocolate bars. Spike grinned and grabbed them, then leaned over and kissed Wesley.
"Thanks, luv. Could use this," Spike held up the bars before ripping one open. Wesley laughed.
"I thought you could." He leaned over and kissed Spike's forehead. "I'm going to put the groceries away, then I'll come out and play with the kids."
Spike grinned. "Okay. Love you."
Wesley smiled. "Love you to."
---------------------
Month five.
"Daddy!"
Spike jumped and woke up. He looked down at Kara and Will, who were both somehow crammed on his lap.
"Daddy!" Kara said again.
Spike stared at her. Then he grinned. "That's right!" He said, picking her up and hugging her.
"What?" Wesley came out of the kitchen.
"She spoke!" Spike grinned. "Do it again, Kara."
"Daddy!" Kara said again. She looked extremely pleased with herself.
Wesley ran over and picked her up. "Good girl!"
Kara squealed, then helded up her spider. "Spiter!"
Spike laughed. "Close."
Wesley chuckled and put Kara back down on the couch. He ran back into the kitchen, then brought out Spike's cup of blood. Spike looked fondly at the cup. It was about twice the size of a normal cup, and Wesley had painted in red 'Spike and Wesley forever.' Spike loved the size of the cup, it gave him much more in a meal then the normal sized ones did.
"Thanks," Spike said before taking a sip.
"You're welcome." Wesley went back in and came back out with a sandwhich. "Did you feed the kids?"
"Mm-hmm," Spike said around the cup. Wesley sat down next to him and grabbed the remote.
"Don't watch Baywatch again, please," Spike begged. Wesley laughed.
"Okay, okay." Wesley put the remote down. "We could watch a movie."
Spike grinned. "Lord of the Rings?"
Wesley shrugged. "Alright."
Wesley got up and put the DVD in the DVD player. Spike settled back to watch as he pulled Will closer to him. Wesley picked up Kara as she fell asleep. Spike snuggled up against Wesley.
Half way through the movie Spike fell asleep. Wesley smiled. He put the kids in the cribs, turned off the TV and snuggled up against Spike.
Spike woke up for a second.
"Go back to sleep," Wesley murmured.
"K," Spike murmured back. "Love you."
"I love you to."
