Warnings: Mpreg, a little OOCness.
Disclaimer: If Lex was mine, would I really be here?
A/N: I really appreciate reviews!!! :-) This starts during that ep where Lex had all those bugs in his house, then shoots off into my own world.Lex sat frozen in shock. Helen started talking about the tests and how many times she'd run them, but he wasn't listening.
"Lex?"
Lex looked up at Clark. "Pregnant?" He squeaked.
Clark, to his surprise, was grinning. He grabbed Lex's hand and dragged him out the hospital and back to the car. Lex let Clark push him into the seat and continued to stare at nothing. Clark climbed in the other side.
"Lex? You okay?"
Lex turned to look at Clark. Then he started laughing.
"Am....am I...okay?" He gasped. "I'm pregnant, what do you think!?"
Lex suddenly realized Clark was holding both his hands and that big grin hadn't left his face. "I know! Isn't it awesome? I mean, it's a little weird, too, but I guess it's normal for us. But think about it! We're going to be parents!"
Clark's grin finally faded when Lex continued to just stare at him. He lifted one hand and gently stroked Lex's cheek.
"You okay?"
Lex took a deep breath, then nodded. "Yeah. I'm just trying to look at it the way you are."
Clark nodded.
After a moment Lex let go of Clark's hand and Clark started the truck.
"I'm going to have to quit work for a while," Lex said. "Once it starts to show. And...oh hell, Clark, where's this thing gonna come out?"
"It's not a thing, and I don't know," Clark said.
Lex closed his eyes for a second. "Sorry."
"It's okay. I'd be doing the same thing if it was me."
Lex opened his eyes and looked down at his stomach. "I wonder if it's a boy or a girl?"
"I dunno. We could come up with names."
Lex shook his head. "It still hasn't completely sunk in yet. Should we tell your parents?"
Clark nodded. "Yeah. Oh boy that's gonna be fun."
Lex slid his hands over his face. "Lets go get it over with."
----
An hour later two shocked Kents were sitting on the couch across from Lex and Clark. Lex was looking anywhere but at them, and Clark was trying very hard to keep his grin.
Jonathan got up and walked quickly into the kitchen. Clark went to stop him but Martha shook his head.
"Are you okay, Lex?" Martha asked slowly.
Lex snorted. "Me? Oh yeah, I'm great." He said sarcastically.
"Oh come on, guys. It's not so bad!" Clark said. He was starting to look a little upset.
"I'm glad you think so, Clark, but try being me for second!" Lex snapped, his voice coming out harsher then he'd meant. "I mean, this isn't supposed to be physically possible!"
Clark sighed and dropped his head into his hands. "I know," He said around them. "I know."
Jonathan came back in but didn't come over near the couch. "What are you doing to tell you father and your work?"
"To hell with my father," Lex growled. "My work? I don't know."
"I don't think he should stay at the mansion like this," Clark said, lifting his head. "He could stay in my room."
Lex shook his head. "I don't want to be in the way. And I...I need time to think."
Before Clark could stop him Lex super sped out the door.
"You're taking this too well," Jonathan muttered, coming over to sit next to his son.
Clark shrugged. "I guess it's normal for us, and it's still life. I've seen some weirder things."
"That's for sure," Martha said. Clark smiled slightly.
"Should I leave him alone for a while?" Clark said. "Let him think?"
"For a while," Martha said. "But after that I don't think you should. I think you should be with him as much as possible. Then maybe your point of view of this thing will rub off on him and he won't feel so bad."
Clark nodded. "Okay. I'll go over tomorrow."
---
Lex lay on his back on a couch, trying to think from Clark's point of view. This whole thing would be easier if he could except what was happening. Besides, he'd always wanted a child. He didn't know why. He wasn't sure how good a father he'd be. Clark would be an amazing one, though. Lex smiled at the thought of Clark holding a baby.
"Come on, Lex, women do this all the time," Lex told himself. "It's not that bad. And hey, if I stay with Clark and we ever wanted a kid, now we don't have to adopt one, it would already be ours."
Thinking about Clark holding the baby made it seem a little less weird. Lex sighed and closed his eyes.
A moment later the door opened. Lex opened his eyes to see his dad.
"Oh great. What do you want?"
"I was just seeing how you are," Lionel said. Lex rolled his eyes. Yeah right.
"Whatever. Go away," Lex said, rolling over so he could bury his face in the pillow. "I don't like you."
Lionel sighed. He wasn't even in the strange mood of his and he was still saying he didn't like him. "I realize that, son. I just--"
"Go 'way."
Sighing again, Lionel turned and walked out.
---
Clark woke up to find Lex curled up on top of him. He frowned. When had Lex gotten here?
"Lex?"
Lex looked up at him. "Hi."
"Hi. How'd you get here?"
"Came last night. Didn't want to be alone anymore." He smiled slightly. "Tried thinking about it in different ways. Got this image of you holding the baby. It was cute. Made it seem better."
Clark grinned. "Cool. So you're not wigging anymore?"
"Oh no. I'm still 'wigging.' Just not quite so much. And it's easier with you."
Clark reached up and wrapped his arms around Lex. He was about to go back to sleep when his door suddenly burst open and Chloe came running in. The two sat up quickly.
"Oh my god, Clark!" Chloe practically yelled. "Why didn't you tell me!"
Lex and Clark looked at each other before they looked back at Chloe. "Uh...about what?"
"About you and Lex and you being gay!"
For some reason that made Lex laugh. Clark rolled his eyes. "Wasn't ready. How'd you find out."
Chloe sat down in a chair. "Lana thought you were. She and I made a bet months ago. Then we saw you guys kiss the other day."
"Lana thought I was?" Clark said in disbelief.
"I know, I didn't believe it either until I saw you guys." Chloe grinned. "So? How'd this happen? Details."
"Promise not to write about us?" Clark said.
Chloe nodded and Clark told her a more human version of what had happened. Only once she'd gotten 'details' out of them did she leave.
"Really think she won't write about us?" Lex asked.
Clark shrugged. "I sure hope not. It would look kinda bad through the news paper."
Lex chuckled. "Yeah." He yawned suddenly. "I'm sleepy again."
"Already?"
"I think it's a baby thing," Lex murmured, shoving Clark down so he could curl up on him. "Don't make me think about it."
Clark laughed and wrapped his arms around Lex again. "Okay."
He kissed Lex on the head and Lex closed his eyes.
