Lex turned off the conference call down with more force than necessary. He clenched his teeth and rubbed his temples trying to push back the pounding in his head the bureaucrats usually created during their meetings. This one was especially bad. He pressed the button on the intercom and waited for Grace to answer the page.

"Yes Mr. Luthor?"

"Grace please have someone send up a glass of water, and aspirin."

"Of course Mr. Luthor? Will that be all?"

"Yes." He let go of the intercom and leaned back in his chair to wait for the things he asked for.

'I wish it were so easy to do the same with power hungry idiots.' He had discovered something very interesting about the ore that had been unearthed less then two months ago in the Middle East. It was powerful, and if they were able to mold it, perhaps it could be used for armoring ships, and exploration vessels. He should have known not to say such things to his those men who wanted nothing but more weapons in the world. More unsafe things for his children to grow up around.

He looked up at the soft knock, followed by his butler, James, carrying a tray with a glass of water and a bottle of painkillers into the room. The large figure behind him was revealed when he moved from the door. Lex sighed and frowned at how easy the Clark moved around like a feline. James had apparently had no clue that his husband had followed him upstairs.

He waved the butler out and popped the pills before chugging down the cold water. It soothed his throat after trying to talk over blubbering fools for the better half of an hour.

He sat back and closed his eyes resting his head against the chair back. The cool padded leather felt good against his bare skull, and neck. He could hear Clark settle in one of the chairs in front of his desk. When the edge was taken off his headache he sighed and sat up a little straighter and opened his eyes to the concerned hazel ones across from him.

"What's up Clark?"

"I just wanted to visit you before I headed over to the farm to pick up Kel. But it looks like he'll have to wait since you look like you could use some relaxation, and a listening ear. So are you going to spill or do I have to pull teeth?"

He smiled at the constant worrying that was Clark's nature. "Neither. I just had a little misunderstanding with some associates. Nothing for you to worry yourself over Clark. I was just about to get some popcorn and wait for Kel so we could watch some movies."

At Clark's raised eyebrow he grinned and spun around hopping up when the chair did 180 degrees. Clark shook his head and followed Lex into the entertainment room. Lex called down for some junk and plopped down on a mega beanbag in front of the screen.

Despite Lex's carefree attitude, Clark could see the tension in his shoulders and the infinitesimal trembling he caught with his x-ray vision. 'I guess I should do something about that.'

Lex jumped when he felt large heavy hands fall onto his shoulders and begin to knead over his dress shirt. He moaned involuntarily and pressed back against the pressure. Then he stopped and tried to pull away, but Clark wasn't having it.

"Clark. You know I do have people I pay to do this. You don't need to trouble yourself."

"It's no trouble. I enjoy touching you." Lex snorted and grinned. Then he promptly threw a pillow at the TV and started yelling expletives when the news came on, then sniffled as it showed cuddly teddy bears being squeezed by adorable kids. Clark raised an eyebrow at the abrupt change and turned the station to one that had commercials on.

Clark ran and got the oil, and was back to help Lex take his shirt off, before settling him down on a full body length feather down pillow. The commercials went off and Lex relaxed as a discovery channel program came on, the people on the screen talking about new elements, chemical reactions, quantum physics, and black holes, looking totally in his element. Clark rolled his eyes but didn't say anything since Lex was letting him massage his back.

He opened the bottle of orange smelling oil and poured a healthy amount in his palm, and rubbed them together so the oil would warm up. He straddled Lex's thighs and smoothed his hands down the pale column of skin. The smoothness amazed him all over again and he luxuriated in the feel of soft skin beneath him.

He applied pressure and the moan that escaped Lex made him think of their romp in the field on the way from the house when they had taken the Kel to Chloe's to visit. He frowned gently at a thought. Since then neither of them has gotten really physical. He shrugged it off and leaned forward to inhale Lex's sexy scent. He wasn't wearing that cologne he usually did, so Clark could smell oranges and Lex.

He continued the massage and soon Lex was putty in his hands. He massaged and molded the flesh in his hands until he felt every bit of tension bleed from the body beneath him. Soon Lex's even breathing let Clark know he was asleep. He carefully got off of his mate and gently pulled a blanket over him.

He knew the constant government work and coming home to take care of things here while juggling with LexCorp was wearing him out. That was why Clark decided to help Lex delegate work of running the company to his directors. There were many qualified people they both knew that could take care of the international enterprise.

He quietly walked out and shut the door behind him. Talking to Grace and making sure Lex wasn't disturbed he left to pick up Kel, taking the car since his parents harped on him about super-speeding him around.

When he pulled up into the driveway he smiled at the 3-year-old that ran out to jump into his arms. He planted a kiss to Kel's forehead and swung him around. Kel giggled cutely and gave him a sloppy kiss in return.

"How's Lex?" Martha asked as she and Jon walked up to them. Clark sighed and buckled Kel into the car seat before leaning against the door facing his parents.

"He tense, tired and getting peculiar. If I didn't know any better I'd say he was having mood swings." His parents looked at each other, then at Clark. He raised an eyebrow at them in confusion then his eyes widened. "You don't think...I mean Jor-El said the eggs would be infertile until he was ready! He said at least 4 years!"

They just watched him, Martha trying to hide a smile of delight at the possibility of another grandchild, Jon with slight dread of going through another 5 1/2 months of Lex being pregnant again. They had to practically slave for him, and he had people to do that already!

Clark had dropped his head in his hands and groaned. "How am I going to get Lex to come and have Jor-El examine him? If he suspects a thing he'll find a way to kill me!"

Martha couldn't help but laugh at that but she immediately put a hand on his back comfortingly. "I'm sure he'll deal with it just like he did with Kel. It'll just take him to get used to it again."

They all sighed in remembrance of Lex's last 'adjustment'. He cried for a month, then yelled for a month, then he was extremely cuddly (that month Clark liked the most). The rest of the time he had finally excepted it completely and with their help was able to get himself a little bit under control.

"I guess I better get home. I left him asleep but he might wake up soon. We'll probably be over by tomorrow to see Jor-El. Goodnight."

His parents waved at them as they pulled away from the house and towards home. Kel played with his squishy toys and slobbered all over them when he caught his daddy looking at him through the rear view mirror. Kel gave him a large smile and waved both hands in the air.

Clark smiled and talked to his son all the way home about the visit with his grandparents. He could tell Kel was a little hyper so he cautioned him to be quiet when they got to the entertainment room, so not to wake mommy up. Clark put a finger to his lips and did a little shush noise, which Kel copied, and instantly burst into giggles right when they entered the entertainment room. Clark sighed in defeat when he saw Lex's head come up and around to fix on them.

Lex smiled sweetly and sat up holding out his arms for Kel to jump into. Kel of course wasted no time acting on the invitation.

Clark watched as Lex kissed his son on the cheek and whispered softly to him as Kel clung to his neck, face nuzzling against his face. Clark leaned against the doorframe and smiled beatifically. It hadn't been easy getting Lex to let down enough of his defenses to let the baby borrow in his heart, but he with his families help accomplished it. Now he was so protective and, well...maternal. He was a natural at the mother stuff as they grew with their child. Lex took on the guidance and kiss-it-make-it-better role, while Clark was more the disciplinarian. But Lex could sure keep Kel in line. One look and the boy froze.

He chuckled softly at the recent memory of when Kel had gotten into the flour at his parent's house. When his father and he found him on the floor spreading the flour around the floor, Jon could've turned blue telling him to stop, but when Lex came in and gave the boy 'the look' that was the end of that.

His chuckle turned the two loves of his life towards him and he pushed off the door and into the room to settle next to them. Kel was delighted and proceeded to go between them and hold out his hands. Clark moved closer and wrapped them both in his arms. Lex sighed and rested a head against his shoulder and Kel grinned happily while staring at them. "Mommy, daddy and me." He started to sing in an adorable soft voice while swaying gently as if to put them to sleep. Lex yawned and burrowed closer to his family's warmth and smiled.

"Let's watch some movies okay Kel?"

"Yay!" They settled on the couch and watched Elmo in GrouchLand for the 500th time munching on popcorn contentedly.

When Kel was jumping up and down counting with Elmo Clark leaned in and whispered in Lex's ear. "Um honey?"

"Hmm?"

"I think we may have to pay Jor-El a visit again." Lex gave him a questioning glance before telling Kel to move back from the screen.

"Why? Did something happen?"

"Uh...Well I think we might be pregnant again."

The silence under the movie and Kel's voice singing along with it made Clark shift uncomfortably. "Okay Lex?"

All he got in response was a look of pure ice. "You are so dead." Came the quiet hiss. "Kel! Step away from the screen! I'm not going to tell you again."

Clark winced and sighed. He wished Kel wouldn't have to go to sleep and leave him at the mercy of his mate, but since that wasn't going to happen, he better brace himself.

'But its worth it,' he thought as he placed his head against Lex's shoulder and inhaled a whiff of oranges, popcorn, and Lex.
