A/N: I really appreciate reviews!!! :-) This starts during that ep where Lex had all those bugs in his house, then shoots off into my own world.

Lex ripped through another one of his paintings and carefully checked it before throwing it to the ground and checking the wall behind it. He heard the door open, but didn't turn.

"Lex?"

Lex turned and saw Clark. He held a finger up to his lips, then walked over and turned the radio up.

"Big brother is listening," Lex said. "Or should I say big daddy. this is what I've found so far."

Clark looked down at the end table and saw several bugs and mini cameras. Lex started tearing through things again.

"Lex? Maybe you should calm down."

"Don't tell me to calm down!" Lex growled. "How would you feel if someone was listening to every private word you uttered? Learning all your secrets?"

Lex went back to searching. Clark started to help. He used his x-ray vision and found only one more.

"Lex, these could be anywhere, in the sofa, the heating vents." "Already checked," Lex said.

"Your stereo?"

Lex paused. He walked over and peered at it, then smashed it.

"Thanks," Lex said. "Sorry I snapped at you."

Clark shrugged. "Don't worry about it. I'd be kinda mad too if I found out someone was spying on me."

Lex looked around, then sighed. "I'd better get some proffesionals in here."

He looked around for a minute, then looked back at Clark. "Once I call you want to hang out for a while? I don't want to be here."

"Sure," Clark nodded. "Talon?"

"Sure," Lex walked over and called.

"Which car?" Lex asked with a little grin, knowing that Clark had a secret thing for his cars.

"Ferrari," Clark answered instantly.

Lex laughed. "You know, if you like that car so much I could buy you one."

Clark grinned at the idea. "That would be cool, but no."

Lex rolled his eyes and walked out toward the Ferrari. "alright. You want to drive?"

Clark nodded so fast Lex thought his head would fall off. He laughed again and threw Clark the keys.

"If you drive slowly or carefully I'm making you walk," Lex told him as he got in the passenger side.

Clark grinned. He started the car and pushed down on the pedal.

It seemed to take seconds to get to the Talon. Both had large grins on their faces by the time they reached the place.

"I give you an A+ in recklessness," Lex said as they got out.

"Wow, first good grade I've gotten for a long time."

Lex laughed. "I've been getting a good grade at that since...forever."

Lex found a small table near the back when they entered. Lana came over after a few minutes.

"Hey guys," She greeted.

"Hi Lana," Clark said, for once not staring at her, which immediately made Lex curious. "Lex let me drive his Ferrari!"

Lana laughed. "How'd he do?" She asked Lex.

Lex grinned. "A+ in recklessness."

"Really?" Lana smiled. "What can I get you?"

"Regular coffee," Lex told her.

"Same thing," Clark said.

Lana nodded and walked off. She came back a second later and gave them there coffee, then walked off.

Lex took a sip, then sighed. "You want to trade lives?"

Clark laughed. "Not a chance in hell."

Lex smiled. "Please?"

"Nuh-uh."

Lex let out a dramatic sigh, then pouted. Clark choked on his coffee. He tried to hide his reaction by coughing.

"What?" Lex asked, still pouting.

"Er...you...pouting...," Clark tried. He shut his mouth, then tried again. "You look funny."

Lex laughed. "Funny?"

Clark shrugged. He felt his face heating up and wondered why he was reacting like this. He looked down at his coffee and tried to think of something to start a conversation again.

Lex watched Clark's face turn red. He sighed to himself. He wondered if Clark was going to tell him about his secret yet. He knew that meant Clark either didn't fully trust him, or was just too careful, or maybe he just didn't want to give Lex a burden like that.

Kinda hard to do that when Lex was half that himself.

Maybe if he told Clark, Clark would tell back. Or maybe he should just tell Clark he knew, then tell him about himself.

Clark suddenly drained his cup. "Hey, I've got a report I need help with, could you come back to the house with me and help me out with it?"

"Sure," Lex nodded. "What's it about?"

"Business stuff."

"Well, that would be easy for me."

Half an hour later they were in the barn, Lex going over what Clark had already written.

"How many pages does this have to be?"

"At least five."

Lex smiled. "Wanna know a cheat?"

Clark grinned back. "Sure. What?"

"Go into detail about the stuff you already know. They like it when you do that, and then you don't actually have to write all that much."

"Okay. You fill me in on detail then."

A while later they had a full five page report. Clark smiled. "Great. Thanks a lot."

"sure."

Lex sat in silence for a moment, then said. "I know about your secret, Clark."

Clark froze.

"What secret?" He asked a little too quickly.

Lex smiled. "That you're an alien."

Clark laughed. "You okay, Lex? You sound..."

"I'm half."

At that Clark seemed to just shut down for a moment.

"Half...?" He finally said, his voice sounding strained.

Lex nodded.

Suddenly Clark was excited. "How did you find out?"

Clark saw something then that he thought he'd never see; Lex blush.

"Er...," Lex looked down at the floor. "When you reach maturity, you start...looking for a mate."

"Okay," Clark said slowly.

"You kinda...kinda go into heat. If you're a male that likes other males, then there's the dominant one and the 'other.'"

"Okay."

"Um...I'm the other. And you're the..."

"Oh. Oh!" Now Clark looked embarrassed. "I see. Is that why my interest in Lana is starting to fade?"

"Probably." Lex stood up and walked over to the edge of the stairs. "Remember when we first met? The second time it happened to me was just after that. Took all my will power to stay away from you."

Clark nodded slowly. "So...is it Lionel?"

"Oh no. He's a human. It was my Mom. He never knew."

"Oh. Can you do things yet?"

Lex shrugged. "some. I've got that super strength thing you've got. It's not quite as powerful though. I can't do x-ray vision but I can do heat."

"Can you fly?" Clark asked.

Lex laughed. "Sometimes. But only when I'm not thinking about anything in particular."

"Neat. I only do in my sleep."

Clark laughed suddenly. "I can't believe this! You've known the whole time and you're kinda like me! I'm not alone!"

Lex smiled. "and I didn't tell anyone, did I?"

Clark looked guilty. "I'm sorry, Lex."

"It's okay." Lex walked over and held out his hand. "No more secrets?"

Clark took it. "No more secrets." He stood up. "come on, we have to go tell my Mom and Dad."

"Er..." Lex suddenly looked uncomftorble.

"It's okay!" Clark dragged him toward the barn.

Lex sure hoped it was.

Chapter Two

*Flashback*

Lex clenched the arms of the chair, wishing Clark would leave. If he went into spaced out mode, there would be no way to stop himself from just pouncing on Clark. Clark, who was just standing there, looking so innocent, so damned sexy. It should be illegal for someone to look that sexy.

"Are you okay, Lex?" Clark asked in concern. "You look a little flushed."

A little flushed? Lex was about to explode! "Fine. Just feeling a little off."

"Oh. Anything I can do to help?"

'Yeah, let me kiss you.' Lex thought. "No. I'm just going to go lie down for a while."

Lex stood up and tried not to run out the door. He slammed it shut behind him and leaned against it, closing his eyes. One hand ran over his chest as images of Clark played in his mind. God, he needed to be touched. The strange need inside him was growing, that need to do SOMETHING, but he had no clue what it was.

One more week. One more week and this would be over.

*end flashback*

Clark dragged Lex inside and Lex tried not to show his nervousness as Jonathan looked over at him.

"Hi Lex," Martha greeted. Lex smiled at her.

"Lex knows," Clark said.

Both parents froze.

"What?!?!" Jonathan yelled.

Clark and Lex both winced at the same time. Lex suddenly noticed that Clark was holding his hand.

"He's half!" Clark told them. "He's half Kryptonian! He's known the whole time...well since he went into heat anyway, and he hasn't told anyone! See, Dad, he's fine!"

"Into heat?" Martha asked almost nervously.

"When Kryptonian's reach maturity they go into heat to find a mate." Lex told her. "If it's two males, there's the dominant and the other. Clark's the dominant and I'm the other."

"Oh," Martha nodded slowly. "I see."

"How do we know you're not lying?" Jonathan asked.

Lex glanced around and saw a candle nearby. He stared at it for a couple seconds and lit it on fire.

"I have that, and the strength. I don't have x-ray vision, but sometimes I can fly."

Jonathan said nothing for a moment, then muttered under his breath. "I always knew Lionel was an alien."

Lex laughed. "Actually it was my mother."

"Oh. Damn," Jonathan sighed. "How'd you find out about her?"

*Flashback*

Lex walked down the stairs toward the kitchen, hoping his Dad wasn't down there. He slipped in and saw his Mother sitting on the table, staring at an unlit candle.

Which just lit two seconds later.

"Whoa," Lex murmured under his breath.

He saw his mother do it to another candle a second later.

"That's cool, how'd you do that?" Lex asked.

His Mom jumped, then turned to him. "Do what?"

"Light the candle on fire by just staring at it!" Lex said.

"Shh," She stood up and walked toward him. "I can do a lot of things, sweetie. Now why don't you go back to sleep?"

"What kinds of things?" Lex asked. How could she tell him to sleep after this?

"Nothing special. Just go to sleep."

Lex pouted. "I wanna know how you do it!"

His mom stared at him for a minute. He was only 7, his mind was still very open. She ran a hand through his hair, then smiled. "Alright, but you have to promise never to tell anyone, alright?"

Lex grinned and nodded. "Okay!"

"You know how you're always saying you want to meet an alien?"

Lex nodded.

"Well, you're mom's one," She said with a small smile.

A big grin spread across Lex's face. "Really? That's so cool!"

She laughed. "Well I'm glad you think so."

"How'd you get here?" Lex asked.

"I was sent here. Every so often one or two of us are sent down here."

"Awesome!"

She laughed again. "Alright, go back to sleep now."

*End flashback*

"I researched farther when I got older, but I never told anyone. I knew it had to be true later, because around 19 I started to be able to do things. Like lifted cars and throw them like they were nothing. Or light things on fire with my eyes."

"Does kryptonite effect you at all?" Clark asked.

"It makes me dizzy and sometimes a little sick, but not enough that I can't hide it."

Clark nodded. "How'd you find out about the name and stuff?"

"Lots of research and guess work."

"how'd you first find out about the heat vision?" Clark asked.

*Flashback*

Lex smiled at the girl who was looking at him across the coffee shop. She smiled back. Lex gave her a once over and his smile widened at the revealing dress she was wearing.

Abruptly his eyes started to get hot. He squeezed them shut, then opened them again, and the place he was staring at caught fire.

Lex tried to shut his eyes again, but the heat was too much. They were forced back open, and the wall in front of him burst into flame.

Lex tried again, and this time his eyes cooled.

*end flashback*

"It was thoughts of sex for you too, huh?" Clark said.

Lex laughed. "Yeah."

Jonathan still looked unsure, but he nodded slowly. "If you haven't told anyone about Clark yet, then maybe you're alright."

Martha almost looked like she wanted to say 'told you.'

"I'm glad you think so," Lex smiled. "You see? Sometimes you do fall far from the tree."

A little bit later they were back out in the barn. Clark was just staring at Lex, still not quite sure what to think.

"Lex?"

"Yeah?"

"When was the last time you...went into heat?"

"Few months a....oh shit."

"What?" Clark asked nervously.

"It happens again in a few days."

"Oh. Well, you just..stay home."

Lex stood up. "Yeah. See you later."

------------------------

Three days later.

Lex crept into the Kent house and stopped. He stood still for a moment, then ran up the stairs and into Clark's room. A smile crept it's way onto his face when he saw his future mate asleep. He crawled carefully up onto the bed and curled up on top of Clark before going back to sleep.

--

Clark woke up with a heavey, warm weight on top of him. He forced his eyes open and nearly jumped out of his skin when he saw Lex layed out on top of him with a blissful look on his face.

"Lex?"

Lex mumbled something and opened his eyes. He blinked once, groaned and rolled off of Clark.

"How'd you get here?" Clark asked.

Lex sighed. "Can't remember. I go into these weird fazes where the other side of me completely dominates me while I'm like this."

"Huh. Well...this'll be hard to explain."

Lex chuckled.

Martha looked up and saw Clark and Lex come downstairs. She frowned.

"Lex? When did you get here?"

"Apparently sometime last night," Lex answered. "I woke up on top of Clark."

"Clothes still on, Mom," Clark said at the look on her face.

'yeah, that sucked,' Lex thought. 'er...stop that.'

Lex hoped Clark thought he was okay now. It was still taking all his strength not to jump him right there.

"I have to go," Lex ran out the door. He saw his car out front and wondered how he'd driven in that state. He went to jump in, but Clark came running out.

"Wait, Lex!"

'Don't touch me,' Lex warned without saying anything.

Clark grabbed Lex's arm and Lex couldn't stop himself any longer. As Clark pulled him around Lex leaned up and smashed his mouth to Clarks. His hands reached up and clenched Clarks shoulders as the held in passion took over him.

Clark didn't know what to do, but some part of him was taking over, thinking of nothing but taking the man in front of him. He felt himself pull Lex closer and wrap his arms around him tightly. He heard Lex moan and that sound set the new part of him completely free.

Clark pulled back and Lex smiled. Clark leaned down and kissed his neck.

"I want you," Clark murmured in his ear.

"Not yet," Lex murmured back. He tried to step back, but Clark gripped tighter.

Clark suddenly snapped back and let Lex go. Lex, who was still in faze out mode, looked startled.

Clark turned and ran back inside.
