Once seated Logan sighed again before talking.
"Ok it's like this I can get pregnant meaning that the bleeding is from . . ."
"Menstruation?"
"Yeah."
"I see. Would you let me perform a complete physical?"
"Sure."
An hour later Logan was asleep on the exam bed. Hank smiled and finished the exam to cover him with the sheet leaving him to rest.
Scott walked in then went to the office seeing that Logan was asleep on the bed covered with a sheet wearing a hospital gown.
"Hank?"
"Yes?"
"What did you find out?"
"There is nothing to worry about."
"Are you sure?"
"Very."
"Is there anything I should know about?"
"I believe that it is up to Logan to decide who he wants to know."
Scott just nodded then left to stop and looked at Logan. He was frowning and had a hand on his stomach.
"Are you ok?" Scott asked as he walked over.
"Yeah. Just stomach cramps."
Scott frowned he didn't like this.
Logan saw the look and let out a sigh to have a thought.
"Is there a lot of salt in Chicken Cacciatore?"
"There can be. Why?" Scott said to ask frowning.
"Wrong time of the month to have salt."
"What?"
"Oh man. Hay Hank, you got some painkillers ya can give me?" Logan moaned to yell.
"Hold on Logan, I'll be right there," Hank said and moved over to give him a shot.
"Well?"
"That should help. If not come back and I'll give you something stronger."
"Thanks."
Scott was still frowning and watched as Hank went back into his office.
"Logan, what did you mean by that?"
Logan sighed and got dressed noticing with a smile that Scott turned away to give him some privacy.
"The reason I'm bleeding is that I'm menstruating. And yes that means that. . . damn!"
"What? That you can get pregnant?"
"Yep. Damn! Hank?!"
Hank walked out frowning, but his expression changed to worry seeing the look of pain on Logan's face.
"Logan, come over here I'd like to scan you one more time."
"Sure."
Once the scan was done Hank went over it quickly then gave him another shot.
"Now for the duration of your period I want you to rest. Meaning nothing strenuous. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yeah."
"Why?" Scott asked.
"Well, for one thing I don't want him to hemorrhage."
"I actually have to worry about that?" Logan asked.
"Yes. Even you can have those problems Logan. Your healing doesn't seem to deal with this as well as injuries."
"Great!"
"I'm taking him off active duty," Scott said.
"Is that really necessary?"
"Yes."
"Fine. I'm headin to my room," Logan said and went up to lay on his bed reading a book.
A while later Scott went up to check on him to find him laying there with one hand holding the book while the other was on his stomach again.
"Feeling ok?" He asked walking in.
"Hmm, so far."
"So far?"
"Haven't felt like this in a long time."
"Oh," Scott said to close the door and moved to sit on the edge of the bed.
"What?"
"Well. . . um. . . Jean used to say that. . . orgasms lessened the cramping."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Can't hurt to try," Logan said to get up putting the book mark in his book and left it on the bed.
"I'll see you later then," Scott said feeling odd and left.
Logan went into his bathroom and jerked off. Once cleaned and dressed he went back to reading his book. A while later he looked up to see that it was getting close to dinner time and got up to head down. Just as he got to the stairs he gasped getting another bad cramp loosing his balance he fell down the stairs.
"Oh my god! Logan!" Scott yelled rushing to him to roll him on his side carefully.
"Oh gods!" Logan moaned curling up to wrap both arms around his stomach.
"HANK!" Scott yelled not moving from Logan's side.
"What happened?"
"He fell down the stairs."
"Let's get him to the lab, now!"
Once there Hank stripped him and examined him very carefully to let out a sad sigh.
"What?" Scott asked very worried still next to Logan.
"He's miscarrying."
"You mean he's pregnant?"
"Yes, but only three weeks along."
~ ~ ~ The next morning.
Logan slowly came too to feel fuzzy, and had a real bad taste in his mouth.
"Hay, how do you feel?" Scott asked softly.
"Weird. Why, what happened?"
"The pain was caused from miscarrying. You were only three weeks along."
Logan lay there staring at the ceiling feeling empty then felt the burn of tears to close his eyes tightly as he tenderly placed a hand to his stomach.
Scott felt so sorry for him he didn't know what else to do but tenderly lay his hand on top of Logan's trying to give him support.
Logan let the tears fall moving his hand so Scott's fingers wrapped around his hand and just held on.
"Just rest ok?" Scott said about to let his hand go, but Logan held on.
"Don't go. Ok?"
"Ok."
// Professor? //
// Yes. How is Logan taking this? //
// Not well. He doesn't want me to leave him. //
// I see. Don't worry stay with him. Ro and I will take your classes over. //
// Thanks. //
// Your welcome. Just be there for him. //
// I will. //
Scott reached up and tenderly brushed Logan's hair back leaning down to kiss his forehead.
"I'm not going anywhere. Just let it all out," he said and held Logan as he reached for him.
Hank looked in to find them like they were and knew that Scott had broken the news to him. He went back into his office quietly to leave them alone.
"I want to go to my room," Logan said softly several minutes later.
"I'll see if it's ok," Scott said to pull back and went into the office.
"How is he doing?" Hank asked looking up from the results of the tests he had run.
"I'm not really sure. He wants to go to his room."
"I'll examine him first," Hank said to walk out and over to him.
"Can I go to my room Blue?"
"Let me examine you first ok?"
"Sure."
Scott moved over and took a hand to get a gentle squeeze he just squeezed back.
"Well?" Logan asked as Hank stood back.
"Your fully healed. You may go, but I want you to rest."
"Sure."
Scott helped him get dressed then to his room.
"Of course," Scott said.
Once Logan was in bed Scott stripped down to his briefs and climbed in to lay there not surprised that Logan moved close. He just turned and pulled him into his arms and held him offering silent support.
"Are you going to be ok?" Scott asked softly a while later.
"Yeah."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Good."
The next morning Scott woke alone and frowned. He got up and dressed to go looking for Logan.
"Bobby, have you seen Logan?"
"No. Why?"
"I just need to talk to him."
"Well, if I see him I'll let him know. Ok?"
"Thanks," he said and left heading down to check with Hank.
"Ah, good morning Scott."
"Good morning Hank. Have you seen Logan today?"
"No. Why?" He asked looking up concern clearly visible in his eyes.
"I. . . I woke up in his bed alone."
"You stayed with him all night?"
"Yeah. I knew he was really upset. . . I just couldn't leave him alone at a time like that."
"I am very glad you were there for him, but he may just need some time alone to deal with this."
"I'm sure that's it. . . um, so do you know who the father was?"
"I just ran the DNA test. . . the results should be done by now. . . OH MY!"
"Hank?!"
"This is very surprising."
"And?" Scott asked feeling both scared and very worried at the same time.
"Well it seems that. . . you were the father."
Scott's reaction was both quick and violent. He rushed to the huge sink and threw up only to sag to the floor and began to cry hard to have Hank tenderly clean his face then gather him in his arms.
~ ~ ~ A few hours later.
Logan walked into the lab to find Scott looking terrible and the scent of tears and depression was so thick that Logan felt he could cut it with anything. He frowned then moved over to have Scott look up at him and start to cry hard again.
"Scott, what is it?" Logan asked tenderly moving to sit next to him. All Scott could do was to pull Logan close and hug him as he cried. "Hank, what happened?" Logan asked as the big man walked into the lab from his office.
"I ran a DNA test."
"And?"
"Scott was the father of your child."
Logan closed his eyes tightly and just held Scott close feeling like crying again himself. Everything finally made sense.
"Logan?" Scott asked voice rough.
"Yeah babe?"
"How?"
"We were drinkin at the time. Wasn't sure if what I thought had happened did until now."
"Hmm, so we were drunk, or in your case as buzzed as you can get and we had sex getting you pregnant?"
"Yep."
"What went wrong Hank?" Scott asked shifting so he could look at him, but still hold onto Logan.
"I'm not sure Scott, but if the both of you want to try again I can help."
"Do you?" Scott asked looking up into Logan's eyes.
"Yeah, but let's wait a little while ok?"
"Of course."
~ ~ ~
A few months later Logan and Scott decided to try to have another baby.
This time Hank would be keeping close eye on him during the pregnancy to make sure everything went well. Of course not even Logan knew what to expect.
~ ~ ~
"Logan?!" Scott yelled as he moved into their room to find it a complete mess.
"What?!" Logan asked obviously pissed.
"What are you doing?"
"I can't find somethin," he said and tossed something aside.
"Oh for gods sake! Let me help?"
"Fine."
A few minutes later. . .
"What are you looking for anyways?" Scott asked standing and looked at the disaster that used to be a tidy room.
"My cigar case."
"I threw them out."
"You what?!" Logan asked slowly standing to face him.
"You shouldn't be smoking. Not if you want to have a healthy baby."
"You threw them out?!"
"Yes."
"Why?!"
"I just told you why. You can't smoke and be pregnant!"
"Then forget it!"
"Logan?!"
"I ain't giving up smokin just to have some brat!"
"Oh I don't need this. . ." Scott said and started to walk towards the door.
"You don't need what Scott?"
"I don't need you going on and on about your stupid cigars when your not supposed to be smoking when pregnant! And now you don't want to be?"
"I also don't need ya yelling at me either!"
"I'm sorry. Really I am. I love you Logan and I just worry. Ok?"
"Yeah. . . I'm sorry too. I guess this is just a lot to take in," Logan
said to sit on the bed with a sigh.
"I know, but as long as we love each other we can make it right?"
"Yep. So uh, should I clean all this up?"
"No. You need to check in with Hank. I'll clean this up. It'll help me to keep my mind off other things."
"Alright. I'll be back in a while," Logan said to stand and moved over and kissed Scott tenderly.
Scott smiled and waited until he was gone to begin.
~ ~ ~
"Ah, there you are. I thought you were not going come down," Hank said seeing him walk in.
"I got side tracked."
"Oh? Not another fight with Scott I hope?"
"Well, yeah, but we made up."
"Good I'm glad. Now just lay here and let me check you?"
"Sure."
~ ~ ~ Ten minutes later.
"Well?"
"Congratulations my friend your four days pregnant."
"Really?"
"Yes. Now about your diet. . ."
"I already know to give up the cigars and beer," Logan said with a deep sigh.
"I know this is hard on you, but you must think of the baby now. You have to eat right and take care of yourself. Then you will have a healthy baby."
"So when am I due?"
"I'd say about mid may."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"So now what do I do, besides eating healthy?"
"Walk, and take these vitamins."
"Ok got it. Anything else?"
"Not this soon. I will let you know as you get further along."
"So about when will I have to stop having sex?"
"You can still have sex up to about eight months, but you have to be careful not to get to into it and get rough. That could hurt the baby."
"So easy sex all the way up to a month before I'm due?"
"Yes."
"Great."
"I would also like you to take these."
"Why?"
"They should help with mood swings. Apparently they will get stronger as you get further along since you have already started."
"True. Ok got it. Just take one a day?" "Yes. At breakfast."
"Can I take them at the same time?"
"I don't see why not."
"Great. Done then?"
"Yes. You may go. I'd like to see you once a week."
"Ok got it. See ya next week," Logan said and once dressed he left.
~ ~ ~
"Well?" Scott asked when Logan walked in.
"God Scott, I'm really sorry. I didn't realize how bad I messed the room," Logan said as he walked in.
"It's ok. What did Hank say?"
"Well. . ."
"Logan?"
"Ok sorry. I'm four days pregnant."
"Really?! Well that explains your mood," Scott said and stood to move to him for a kiss.
"I also asked about sex."
"Well, I'm not surprised. What did he say?"
"As long as we go easy we can have sex until I'm about eight months."
"You and easy sex don't mix Logan."
"I know, but thinking about the baby should help."
"Should, but. . ."
"We'll see. Ok babe?"
"Ok."
"Now let me help ya clean all this up?"
"Sure."
They got done right before dinner and went down.
"How are you feeling Logan?" Charles asked smiling.
"Fine."
"Hank said that you had good news."
"He did huh?" Logan asked with a grin looking at the big furry man.
"Yes. And?"
"Scott and I are going to be parents."
"Really? Well congratulations. How far are you?"
"Only four days."
"Well, that's very early. If there's anything you need just ask."
"Sure."
Logan was feeling strange. He was six months and everyone was starting to treat him as if he was fragile. Although he didn't mind it was just plain weird. Just like the feeling of his and Scott's baby moving and kicking inside his body. He wasn't showing very much and it was starting to make him worry. Hank had told him it was because he was carrying towards his back and wouldn't show until he was eight or nine months along. Still he was kind of glad cause he was able to go out and not get stared at more than usual.
~ ~ ~
"Logan, is that you?" A man asked.
"Kerian?" Logan asked and turned to see him walking over.
"I thought I'd never get to see you again. I'm glad I was wrong."
"I'm glad to see you too," Logan said frowning.
"Are you ok?" Kerian asked seeing the frown.
"I need to sit for a while."
"Let's go in here?" Kerian asked moving to a door.
"Sure," Logan said and was surprised that he held the door open for him.
They went into the small coffee house and sat in the arm chairs by the tables.
"Can I get you boy's anything?" A woman asked walking over.
"Caffeine free herbal tea," Logan said relaxing.
"Iced mocha. Nothing extra."
"Sure thing. Oh what kind of tea would you like?"
"Apple Cinnamon."
"Sure thing," she said and walked off.
"So how are you?"
"I'm six months pregnant."
"Really? That's great. So who is the father?"
"His name's Scott."
"Do you love him?"
"More than I thought I'd ever love anyone."
"That's great. I'm happy for you."
"Here you both go," the woman said putting their drinks down.
"Keep the change," Kerian said handing her some money.
"Thanks," she said and left.
"Hmm, so what did your step dad say once I left?" Logan asked after taking a sip of his tea.
"Nothing good. I haven't talked to him since."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be he's a jerk. I can't see why my mother was with him."
"Hmm," Logan said with a frown.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah. Just very active today."
"Ah."
"I think I need to walk some more," Logan said after finishing his tea.
"Mind some company?"
"Not at all."
They left the coffee house and walked back along the path to where Logan had parked to find Scott there waiting.
"Is that Scott?" Kerian asked.
"Yep."
"He's good looking. Your one lucky guy."
"Scott, I'd like to introduce you to Kerian. Kerian this is Scott," Logan said smiling.
"Hi. Pleased to meet you," Kerian said holding his hand out smiling.
"Like wise. So?" Scott asked shaking his hand to look to Logan.
"I'll tell ya later. Ok?"
"Sure. You feeling ok?"
"Very active today," Logan said placing his hand to his stomach frowning.
"Then let's get you home. . . oh," Scott said then looked to their trucks.
"It's ok Scott, I can drive Logan's truck while you drive him home. I'll just follow you."
"Good idea. Come on?" Logan asked and let Scott help him into his truck.
"Are you sure this is ok?" Scott asked handing Logan's keys to Kerian.
"Very."
"Ok."
He followed and parked next to Scott and got out to help.
"Oh man!" Logan moaned.
"Logan?!" Scott asked getting very worried.
"We better get him in," Kerian said moving to Logan's other side. They got him inside.
"I'll take him from here. Thanks Kerian," Scott said.
"Are you sure?" He asked worried.
"Yes. Don't worry, Scott will be able to get Logan to his room to rest,"
Charles said moving into the main hall.
"Good. I'm Kerian Blade," he said holding his hand out.
"Professor Charles Xavier, but you can call me Charles," he said shaking his hand.
"Alright Charles it is. Then this school is yours?"
"Yes."
"It's nice."
"Thank you. Why don't we go into my office to talk?"
"Sure."
~ ~ ~
"Logan?" Scott asked once he had him laying in their bed.
"We're fine babe, just was on my feet too long."
"Are you sure, maybe I should get Hank just to be safe?"
"Nah."
"Well, I am glad I came anyways Logan," Hank said moving in and sat on the edge of the bed and checked on him and the baby.
"Well?"
"Hmm, the baby is very active. Try this, rub his belly and see if that gets the baby to calm down?"
"Like this?" Scott asked rubbing Logan's belly to get a sigh from him.
"Yes. I believe that it will not only help the baby stay calm, but Logan as well."
"Feels nice," Logan said with a smile.
"Then I'll do this every day," Scott said shifting to lay next to him keeping it up.
"Hmm," Logan said and fell asleep.
"Good. I believe that's what the baby was complaining about. Logan needed a nap."
Scott smiled laying there next to him and just had his hand resting on Logan's belly.
"I will check on them later," Hank said and left.
~ ~ ~
Once in and Kerian sitting down Charles turned to look out the window.
"Are you wondering how Logan and I met?" Kerian asked sensing the unasked question hanging in the air.
"Yes."
"Well, he bought me a beer and we ended up going back to my place to have sex. He left the next morning, and we haven't seen each other since. That was nine months ago."
"I see."
"Is that a problem?"
"Not at all. Logan is his own man and I don't tell anyone living here how to live their lives."
"That's good."
"Charles. . . oh I did not know you had company," Hank said stopping in the door.
"Wow!" Kerian gasped not moving from the chair.
Charles couldn't help but smile at his reaction to Hank's appearance.
"Hank, this is Kerian Blade. Kerian, this is our doctor Hank McCoy."
"Pleased to make your acquaintance," Hank said moving into the room. "Like wise."
"Have you checked on Logan?" Charles asked.
"Yes, their both fine. Logan just really needed a nap."
"I'm glad he's fine," Kerian said.
"Professor? Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you were busy," Marie said looking in.
"That is quite alright Marie, what can I do for you?" Charles asked turning his chair towards the door.
"Well, it's a question I have for our homework."
"I'll leave," Kerian said standing and left the room followed by Hank.
~ ~ ~
"Would you like something to drink?" Hank asked.
"Sure."
Hank led the way to the kitchen and poured them both some iced tea and they sat at the table.
"How is Logan?"
"He's doing fine. . . he just really needed a nap so the baby was very active."
"What happened to him about nine months ago?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well we met at a bar and he bought me a beer. We then went back to my place and had sex. Only I got very worried because he had begun to bleed."
"I see. Well he had miscarried. He was only three weeks along, and had no idea he had been pregnant."
"Oh. . ." Kerian said looking away to stare out the big windows.
"It was nothing you did, it was just not meant to be."
"Who was the father?"
"Scott."
"Oh."
