Warnings: Slash and Mpreg. Somewhat OOC Logan hung to the toilet bowl as he threw up the remains of last night's dinner. He caught the faint smell of sulfur just before he felt someone rub his back. Logan started to say something, but another bought of morning sickness hit, forcing him spill more of his guts into the toilet. Once the chaos had ended, Logan felt a strong arm wrap itself around his waist, helping him to his feet.
"Thanks, Elf," Logan said, turning to him.
"Of course, my friend. I see ze child has a very…direct way of telling you it has woken up." Nightcrawler returned, a smile playing on his lips. Logan rolled his eyes.
"Yea, well…" Whatever Logan was going to say was cut off by several swift kicks within his abdomen. Logan's eyes widened as he placed his hand over his abdomen.
"Vhat is it?"
"It…it's movin'," Logan whispered.
"Oh, may I…?" Kurt asked.
"Yea, sure," Logan said, placing Kurt's hand over the spot where the baby was moving around the most. And yet, at the same time, Logan felt guilty for it. It should Gambit's hand there, feeling his baby's movements.
"Is something wrong, my friend?"
"No, I'm just thinking about a few things." Kurt chose not to press the matter.
"Hey, I've got to go to an appointment with Beast in a little while."
"Vould you like me zere?"
"No thanks, I can handle it. I appreciate the offer though."
"Zat is fine. I vill see you later zen." With that, Nightcrawler disappeared in a puff of smoke.****************************************
"So, Logan, how are you feeling today?" Beast asked as he walked into the infirmary.
"Fine," Logan replied, taking of his shirt so Beast could examine him.
"Has anything felt different lately?"
"I felt the kid start ta move this mornin'," Logan said, a soft smile playing on his lips.
"Wonderful news, Logan. If I may?" Beast gestured at Logan's stomach.
"Sure," Logan said. Hank gently pressed onto Logan's somewhat swollen abdomen, felling the baby's movements and positioning. Hank paused for a moment, as if trying to figure something out.
"What's up, Hank?"
"I'm not entirely sure," Seeing Logan's eyes widen he hastily continued, "I'm sure there is nothing wrong, Logan, but…well, let me show you." Hank placed Logan's hand on one side of his abdomen.
"Feel that?"
"Yea." Hank moved Logan's hand to the other side of his abdomen.
"Do you feel that as well?"
Yea, feels the same…" Logan's eyes widened in realization, "Ya mean, there's more than one kid floatin' around inside a' me?"
"That's where my suspicions are headed, yes. There is one way to be sure, though." Hank brought out the ultrasound machine and set it up. He had Logan lay down on the bed and rubbed some clear jell on his bare stomach. He began rubbing the sensor along Logan's stomach, pleased with what he saw.
"Look here," Hank said, pointing at the screen, "This shape here is one child, and there's another one here." Logan just stared, wide eyed, at the screen. Suddenly, he looked at it confused.
"What's this?" Logan asked, pointing at a third shape behind the other two. Hank peered at the screen.
"I believe it's another child," Hank whispered.
"So there are three of `em in me?" Logan said, incredulously.
"It appears so, Logan. Would you like to know their genders?"
"No. I want ta wait `till they're born ta find that out."
"Ah, I have been meaning to talk to you about that. It seems that, due to your quick healing abilities, that it would be almost impossible to perform a cesarean section on you."
"Then… how the hell are these kids gonna get outta me?"
"Well, it seems your friends at Weapon X found a solution to this particular problem." Hank paused, hesitating. "You are currently growing a vagina-like opening between your legs that will allow the children safe passage out of your body when the time comes. I am also quite certain that, once the process is completed, the opening will reseal itself."
"Shit," Logan mumbled. Hank handed him a rag to wipe the jell off his stomach. After dressing, Logan turned to Hank.
"How much longer do ya think they're gonna stay inside a' me?"
"Judging by their growth rate, I would guess Mid-February."
"Four and a half months," Logan mumbled.
"Am I correct in assuming that Gambit continues to remain ignorant of his impending fatherhood?"
"Yea…"
"Are any of the others aware of your condition?"
"Nightcrawler knows, and the Prof. figured it out, but the rest don't know yet, and I want it to stay that way."
"Very well. Oh, Logan..." Hank said as Logan began to leave.
"What's up, Hank?"
"Well…I was wondering if…it would be possible…" Logan could swear that Beast was blushing under all his blue fir.
"What do ya need?"
"Would it be possible for you to…locate the technology Weapon X used to create your current condition?"
"What d'ya need that for?"
"To help better understand your condition…" Hank said quickly, "And, well…"
"Lemme guess, you and Bobbie want kids, right?" Logan smirked.
"…Yes…"
"I'll see what I can dig up, but I'm not makin' any promises."
"That's fine. Thank you, Logan."
"No problem," Logan said as he walked out of the infirmary.TBC…
